People that have paid for a lifetime certification ( myself included) have been basically conned because what was promised was not delivered. This is a unilateral reduction of delivered product validity, which was applied retroactively on issued certificates. An absolute money grab that will kill ITIL.
How do we gather CPD points based on professional experience

It is an absolute scam to issue certificates without a term and to add a term afterwards just to collect more money. Shame on you for your greed...
Plz tell in details what happened
Wouldn't go as far as calling it a scam since the certification gets changed/improved. It's a way to ensure that our certs remain current. I do believe it's motivated by a cash grab but I think more newcomers to the program benefit.
@@Sapna4you We were all provided certificates with no expiry date, and now we get a mail saying wow your certificates are expired and you need to give money to hope to reclaim them. And the money is not meagre, it's a bit difficult to cough up money to procure something which you don't know if it will be valuable in a year or not.
